.....if you are in the left lane in a Toyota Prius (or good-for-the-environment battery car)…please stop looking in your rear view mirror and move over!

I am not going to go around you....how will you know it's me behind you as you look once again in your mirror?

it's a fast lane!!

Don't get me wrong....I fully believe that there are people that have the ability to properly learn to multi-task.....but they are the minority. Spread the awareness people! Maybe the notion of not driving slow in the left lane will catch on.

Over the past several years, traffic has become increasingly congested and tempers now flare as slower drivers occupy what has been historically referred to as the “fast lane.”

It’s time to get that Left Lane back! It is my considered opinion that not only will traffic move more smoothly and more quickly once the Left Lane is used in the way it has been designed but also headaches, frustration, bad tempers and road rage will all be greatly reduced when this pressure valve is released.

Please just move over and stop looking in your rearview mirror....please.

what drives me?

Years ago, Dick Butkus of the Chicago Bears (NFL) confounded sports writers who could never understand why Butkus played as hard as he did year-after-year for a losing football team.

True, Dick loved the game, but beyond that, the sports writers didn't understand one thing about the seven time All-Pro linebacker: Butkus took his job personally.

It was important to him that his opponents know that they had been tackled by the best player; as he said, "When they get up from the ground I want them to say 'it must have been Butkus that got me'." Dick Butkus was a craftsman.

From 1965 through 1973, the Chicago Bears' Dick Butkus wreaked unprecedented havoc on the offensive units of all other National Football League teams. Possessed with a desire to excel that few others have ever known, the 6-3, 245-pound middle linebacker played with only one goal in mind-that was, simply, to be the best.

He had the speed and quickness to make tackles from sideline to sideline and to cover the best tight ends and running backs on pass plays. He had instinct, strength, leadership, and, maybe most important of all, anger.

"I want to be recognized as the best-no doubt about it," Dick would admit. "When they say all-pro middle linebacker, I want them to mean Butkus!"
